Elayna, hopefully you have solved your seasickness situation, but if not - I found that if I took one Bonine in the morning, kept ginger chews on hand to suck on when I started to feel queasy (sucking on them like a lozenge works better than chewing, imo, gives your mind something else to focus on and makes them last longer), and the big one - stayed on deck and KEPT MOVING when the swells are big - I totally kept my sea sickness at bay. When you don't feel well, you have a tendency to want to sit down and rest, but I found that if I kept my body moving along with the boat moving, my mind and body were less conflicted than when I was still and the boat was moving. Good luck and feel better!!

Hi you guys. I posted some months ago that I had been looking around for a boat of my own and, da, da, I found her. Last week I purchased my own 37' steel hulled sloop. We sailed her (Jade) from Sydney to Lake Macquarie where she is moored at present, waiting to be taken from the water and anti fouled, painted and some below deck alterations made. To say that I am 'over the moon' is an understatement and once this Corona Virus is a dark and dismal memory I hope to be doing the Darwin to South East Asia trip. Perhaps one day we will cross each others paths. I just wanted to say a big thankyou for the inspiration that your weekly clips have given me. Stay safe and congratulations on the new bub guys. no water coming from your out board will be a clog in the hose that bring in water or the little spout as in the tell-tale it shoots out of stick a bent straight paper clip in up it and try to unblock it. check your hose as well. other then that jet clean might be something clogging the jets pilot and main jet. this might help... mndown.info/fast/video/ya2akayHlGaaipE. as said on this video ya can shoot compressed air in to the outlets to try unclog them.

I have a question about the connection on your LPG bottle. I am assuming, it is a 8.5kg bottle and if so it should have a POL connection. POL means - Prest-O-Lite and is an acronym for the company that first made the valves. Every bottle that is 8.5kg or greater, should have a POL connection, it's standard.I also assume your bottle is stored in an water proof locker that is vented to the outside. It should be fastened down to prevent any movement, and ideally, there should be two bottles there with one as a spare. Once a bottle is empty and changed over, you should have it replaced/filled at the first opportunity. LPG is heavier than air, that's why it should be stored in a vented to air locker. You should always carry an LPG bilge sniffer for that reason and have a bilge blower installed, just in case. Thanks for a brilliant series and for fulfilling our dreams.

Riley can you imagine that in Europe each country has a different connection to charge lpg for the cars (its very popular fuel) so when you drive from east to west needs to have a backpack of different adaptors hahaha not mention about camping gas bottles...

Here's a tip: follow the rules and, funnily enough, you won't have any problems... Imagine that, Australians (out of anyone), complaining about immigration. Talk about taking the piss.

Riley, if a Honda won't start on the first or second pull then stop pulling. I sell and have worked on Honda Outboards for 40 years. I am assuming you have fuel issues, try bleeding the fuel bowl. There are 3 things to check. Ignition, Carburation, Compression. If you wish I might be able to email you a Shop Manual. What is the HP?

Riley/Elina please buy yourselves an induction stove - it uses electricity which your have (Solar). If it happen you run out of gas(again :) ) then you can still cook hot food using the stove. Safe sailing - i'm located in the Philippines....

guys, I love your channel Ive been watching your videos for years. However IMHO Riley should rally finally admit that just because he bought a catamaran and chose a nomadic lifestyle that rules and laws of countries does not apply to him simply because he doesn't want to. Its the same as refusing to obey the rule of sailing under the specific flag which almost got you in trouble some years ago. Sometimes he behaves more like a 18th century pirate than 21st century responsible father of (soon to be) two children.

I love your content but there is only so much time to see everything on the www. So I'm often skipping a little bit through your videos. But this one had such a good energy with it somehow. Especially the sailing part with that music. It literally gave me goosebumps somehow cause I liked it so much :D

Why not buying a "bombona popular" from camping gas (bleu bottle), it is about 5 liter, I use it already for many years as emergency back-up. Just enough sometimes, but it need only a very small amount of space so handy.
